Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is a life-threatening emergency that requires immediate action. Here’s how you should respond step by step:
Recognize the Signs:
The person suddenly collapses, is unresponsive, has no normal breathing, and shows no signs of circulation.
Call Emergency Services:
Immediately call the local emergency number (e.g., 112 in Germany) and report the situation. Give clear information about the location and the condition of the victim.
Start CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation):
Begin chest compressions immediately. Push hard and fast in the center of the chest – about 100–120 compressions per minute. If trained, provide rescue breaths in a ratio of 30:2.
