What to do when someone suffer Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA)

In this video of the Heart & Stroke Foundation Canada it tells you what steps you need to take when someone suffers a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).

When Sudden Cardiac Arrest strikes, a person needs help immediately. In 3 minutes they have brain damage, after 12 minutes they are likely be dead. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is needed instantly when someone collapse and has suspected cardiac arrest. And you can you help to!

When Sudden Cardiac Arrest strikes, do you know what to do?

  1. Call 9-1-1
  2. Do CPR
  3. Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
